Dead By Dawn

Dead by Dawn sells one all-inclusive Pass which covers you for every screening and event of the festival.  These can only be bought from Filmhouse box office.  Announcements about ticket prices and sale dates are sent to our mailing list, so to receive all info, please sign up!  Refunds are not available, and the ticket is non-transferable.  If you prefer, you can buy individual tickets for all films (where we have an all-nighter starting at midnight, individual tickets will only be sold for the first two movies).  These are also available only from Filmhouse box office.  Their number is 0131 228 2688 and tickets can also be bought online from their site.

All Passes bought in person can be taken away with you, but all Passes bought over the phone or online will be held for collection.  You can collect your Pass any time up to and beyond the start of the festival.  Any Passes still unclaimed 24 hours after the festival has started will be released for re-sale.  Again, no refunds are available.  If you are going to miss more than one full day of the festival, please let us know so we can retain your Pass for late collection.

All screenings take place in Cinema One at Filmhouse.

Spawn of Dawn Passes are also available from Filmhouse box office.  Again, no refunds and the Pass is not transferable.

So the worst thing happens and real life gets in the way of you indulging your love of horror, just after you’ve paid for your Pass. Sadly, we have no control over unsympathetic bosses, random family chaos, inconveniently-timed contractions or acts of vengeful and possibly fictional deities. Our refunds policy is simple. We don’t offer them. But if you do find yourself unable to attend either event, you are welcome to sell your Pass on to a friend or someone you don’t remember but looks vaguely familiar and keeps sending you polite but persistent Friend requests on Facebook. If this isn’t an option, please contact us as early as possible as we do run a waiting list for both Dead by Dawn and Spawn of Dawn Passes. Our policy is that once the relevant event is a sell-out, we can make your Pass available to the next person on the waiting list. If they buy it, you will be fully refunded. If not, you won’t.

If you’ve yet to experience the joys of your first Dead by Dawn or Spawn of Dawn, please be aware that we announce the programme very, very close to festival time.  If this makes you nervous about parting with your cash, feel free to check out the archive pages here to see what kind of wonderful treats have been in store in previous years, or just talk to any of our regulars or recent surprised and happy convertees!  Sixteen years of very happy punters speaks for itself, I reckon!
